Receiving the Mishloach, the Golani Troops on Dov Mount (on the northern border)
Dayton is a community of about 5000 Jews in beautiful Southwest Ohio. Although it is a reasonably large city, many parts have a suburban or even country aspect. Several large universities are nearby and a major Air Force The Kollel is currently learning Mesechet Shabbat
base is located here.
The community has two reform synagogues, one conservative synagogue, one traditional synagogue north of town with an orthodox downstairs mechitza minyan and a Chabad south of town. Congregation Shomrei Emunah sponsors the Torah Mitzion Kollel which is based at Hillel Academy, the day school, north of town.
There are two Jewish centers, one north and one south. Cincinnati is about one hour south of Dayton and Columbus is about 1 hour and minutes east.
Kollel Torah Mitzion works with all the Jewish organizations and individuals in the community to enthusiastically spread a love of Judaism and Israel.
They also teach in the day school and work in the local Sunday schools.
