The Kansas City Community Kollel consists of 3 families and 2 Bachurim. The entire team grew up in Israel, learning in yeshivot and Ulpanot (learning institutions for women) and serving the country - whether in the IDF or National service.
The team has come to Kansas City to support an encourage the values of Torah, and to strengthen the ties between Eretz Yisrael and the Diapora.
The Bachurim come for one year, the families for 2 years. During their stay, they are active in parts of the Jewish Community, being involved with all levels and population groups - from kindergarten to pensioners.
The team learns in the mornings in the school, spends time learning in chevruta with students and generally develop programs to strengthen the school from within. They also travel to the communities of Wichita and Omaha.
The Kollel is currently learning Mesechet Ktubot.
The Community Kollel is funded by private individuals who believe in the importance of this project, without receiving any official funding from the Community at all.
