Welcome to Melbourne!
In Melbourne today, there is a Jewish population of about 60,000. Among the main communities are: a Chabbad community, Adat Israel and a Mizrachi community - which is where the kollel is located and functions. The Mizrachi community consists of about 3,000 people.
Kollel Torah Mitzion in Melbourne is now into its ninth year . It's made up of a Rosh kollel and six Bachurim - all graduates of Yeshivot Hesder .
On a daily basis the Bet-Midrash is filled with people - who come to learn Torah, Torah from Tzion. What signifies the Limud (learning) in the Bet Midrash, is the strong connection with Israel . The fruits of this important project can already be seen in the community: regular family visits to Israel, youngsters making Aliya, and even entire families.
The Kollel is currently learning Isur v'heter.
